Lagoas (Zona central)

Pico da Urze

Perfect view on Pico mountain and volcanoes. It is easy to get to the top by car.(Mapy.com)

Miradouro do Alto dos Cedros

It is easy to get there and the view is stunning (Mapy.com)

Cabeço do Geraldo

Beautiful viewpoint above the house, 60 minutes up and 40 minutes down. You can extend it to Terras and make it circle. (Google maps)

Castelete

Very short hike (10 minutes) to a hill with amazing views of São Jorge Island (Google maps)

Baía de Domingos Pereira

Amazing view of hidden bay, be careful please (Mapy.com)

Canto do Santo Amaro

This place is magical, specially after heavy rain (Mapy.com)

Whale culture route

The Whale Culture Route is a circular route that starts and ends in the heart of the village of Lajes do Pico, providing a unique experience in which you can contact the cultural, natural, built and ethnographic heritage, associated with whaling and the whale culture.
You can also borrow e-bikes in Lajes (free of charge, during the opening hours of the tourist center)

Very nice place for watching sunset. On Sundays in summer you can listen to the music at sunset. ()
